The eGrip II, the all-in-one vape from Joyetech, is a cute, compact little device that changes the vape game with a tank that sits quite snugly inside the mod. This innovative built-in tank design acts as a solid bastion against leakage and spills, an annoyance which plagues many vapers. But its unique design is only the first of the eGrip II’s features.
There is just so much to discuss with the eGrip II, which comes with a slew of little gadgets and features—some of which are incredibly useful and some which may appear a bit random. First and foremost, the eGrip II comes generously packed with four different types of coils: a 0.25-ohm notch coil and a 0.5ohm-coil, both of which are stainless steel, a 1.5-ohm Clapton coil meant for mouth-to-lung draws, and even an RBA head which allows the more experienced users to build their own coils. Also included in the box is a USB charger, manual, a 510 adapter which you can use to attach a tank on top of the mod, and finally, an extra drip tip added for minimizing spitback.
The eGrip II packs the features that have become commonplace among vape devices today. Such features include variable wattage up to 80 watts which is powered by a 2100 mAh internal battery, variable temperature from 200-600 degrees Fahrenheit, bypass, and TCR which allows up to three different settings for the temperature coefficient of resistance. More often than not, vapers will stick with the variable wattage mode as it is simple and easy to use.
Now, as for the features that are not so common, the eGrip II adds a nice little finishing touch with its multicolor LED option which glows whenever you press the fire button. The user is free to choose among seven different LED options (blue, green, yellow, red, purple, cyan, and white) for a colorful vape experience. Even more random than this built-in LED is being able to alleviate your boredom with a session of Flappy Birds. You can not only vape in LED fashion but also become a master at Flappy Birds! It’s a win-win. More handy than alleviating boredom is knowing what time of the day it is, and the eGrip II is your pal in that department as well. The mod’s 0.96 OLED screen can display the time as either analog or digital, a useful feature for those who are always on the run.
The eGrip II is compact in design but does feel a tad heavy in your hand. The power and control buttons, on the other hand, do sit comfortably flush so that you are not always fumbling and rotating the device this way and that to change the settings. The airflow vent is located right at the top; all you need to do is turn the cap to the right to open it and to the left to close it. Another neat aspect is the little window carved into the body of the device which shows you how much liquid is inside. Small arrows etched on either side next to this window indicate that you should not fill the built-in tank with juice past those markings.
For all its cool and random features, the eGrip II is a great starter or secondary device for any vaper. You can carry it around easily because of its relatively small size, and it’s easy to refill on-the-go. It’s the ideal device for beginners or for those seeking a more compact vape that won’t leak, will tell you the time, light up different colors, and give you the chance to become a Flappy Birds champion.
