Many of you have already heard of the Santa Cruz Shredder name unless you’ve been hiding under a rock. They’ve been putting out some of the best grinders on the market for years now, so this review isn’t me attempting to win you over. This is just my thoughts and feelings.
Out of the box you immediately feel the craftsmanship that went into these grinders. There’s no rattling, no give, nothing. These things are milled to PERFECTION. The magnets on these are so powerful I’m shocked they don’t fall out of its casing. Whatever adhesion method they’re using to keep the magnets in there is next level. Frequent grinder users know that feeling when the magnet falls out. With the Santa Cruz Shredder, you don’t ever have to worry about that.
On to the look and the feel. Holding this in my hand feels like some sort of alien technology. It feels dense, but not too heavy. You know that feeling of a quality product? This is it. The top and bottom of these grinders have a sort of grip similar to the edges of a quarter, except it’s more pronounced. Actually using the grinder doesn’t feel like you’re doing any sort of work on your own. It’s buttery smooth. I typically only have to twist it twice and my tobacco is finely ground. The bottom piece is concave so you can easily collect any fine powder. It’s perfectly machined to be the same radius as your fingers. The thought put into this blows my mind.
There’s so many colors and finish options to choose from, you’ll definitely find something you like. I personally use their Mini 4 Piece in Matte Pink. So stop by Nebu Philly and grab yours. My goal is to be the best smoke shop in Philadelphia and having items like this in our inventory only brings us closer to that. We’re right on South Street Philadelphia underneath Fat Tuesdays.
